A nest is nestled in the leafy branches of a tree in this linocut printed onto an old encyclopedia book page. The words and letters of the old fashioned text add to this print a curiosity and depth. The nest itself is hand painted for an additional pop of color.
The image was hand-printed on an etching press from a hand-carved linoleum block. Printed onto book page and then mounted onto printmaking paper, then hand additions were made using gouache paint.
